Dr. David G. Draughn of Vein Specialists of the Carolinas has been named as the Best Vein Specialist by Rated Best of Charlotte. Dr. Draughn has been recognized for the third year in a row for being the best in his field and providing superior service. He is the only Vein Specialist finalist to receive this award by Rated Best of Charlotte.
Each year since 2005, Rated Best of Charlotte awards this coveted designation to only one expert in each field. Eligible physicians for this designation must have a solid history of expertise and a stellar reputation. Dr. Draughn, MD has received this honor for the last three years.
Vein Specialist Dr. David Gardner Draughn, MD, FACS, RVT, RPVI, RPhS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (commonly known as “board certified”). He graduated from medical school at the University of Mississippi in 1987, did his internship at the University of Kentucky, and was a surgical resident at Louisiana State University from 1988-1993, becoming Chief Resident of General Surgery in 1992.
Dr. Draughn practiced General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery until 2008. Since 2006, he has dedicated his practice to venous disease and helping patients learn about and effectively treat their conditions. He is a leader in the field and has led multiple studies in vein research. He is also published in peer reviewed medical journals; Dr. Draughn is truly a forever student and is focused on finding the best solutions to treat his patients for life. With 23 years of experience as a vein specialist in research and treatment, he is a well known expert in the field.
